Once accustomed to a status outside the usual management-labor hierarchy, many health professionals now feel as put upon as any clock-punching worker.
Physicians and other trained professionals should be able to work at the top of their license. This does not mean drilling down into the minutiae of their day to hold them accountable to profit-driven tasks that, at times, are trivial to the provision of care. It's the opposite. Free them to do good work and the work they are trained to do. Other professionals (me included) should handle the administrative and financial concerns in support of that work. Make space and open time for attention to patients.
